Inventory Optimization and S&OP Development Manager
Husqvarna Group is a global leading producer of outdoor power products and innovative solutions for forest, park and garden care. Products include chainsaws, trimmers, robotic lawn mowers and ride-on lawn mowers. The Demand & Supply Chain Organization is responsible for coordinating the supply of goods from factories and suppliers to sales companies and distributors. We are also managing our S&OP process globally. Delivery performance and inventory turn rate is two of our most important metrics.
We are right now in an exciting phase where we are adapting our organization to better support our business targets. One part of this is to establish a clear focus on inventory and process improvements. We are therefore looking for someone who is willing to take on this challenge and from there continue to develop within the Husqvarna organization.
The new Inventory Optimization and S&OP Development Manager will have the overall responsibility for securing that an inventory strategy is developed, that agreed global inventory targets are met and that the S&OP process is developed (primarily by making it more efficient i.e. quicker, more reliable and more transparent).
 Areas of responsibility
  • Liaise with functional and operational area managers/departments to ensure that coordination of all inventory activities are integrated with other parts of the business (e.g. supply planning, demand planning, logistics & warehousing, finance, manufacturing and sales)
  • Optimize our inventory levels globally by improving our inventory turn rate without compromising on required delivery performance
  • Oversee and develop our global inventory reporting by securing that it is efficient, correct, well analyzed and delivered on time
  • Participate in demand and supply planning meetings in the S&OP process and secure actions related to inventory development are raised and executed on as agreed in order to deliver on our inventory targets
  • Analyze inventory requests, production schedules, orders, forecasts and other relevant information to secure our inventory projection is up to date and that actions to close potential gaps to target are identified
  • Educate and support the Sales and the SCM organization with regards to IT tools used for inventory planning and drive tool/system improvements for the global S&OP processes
  • Drive continuous improvements within the inventory management area and be responsible for driving projects/initiatives that improves our current S&OP process
We require someone who has several years of international experience in this area and also has a relevant university degree (master degree desired). Fluent English, both spoken and written is required. Strong communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to work in a cross-functional complex organization with great results and with a clear target focus. Previous leadership experience is preferred.
Good knowledge in how advanced planning systems works is required (we are currently rolling out Logility Voyager for supply chain planning within the business division). Great project and process management skills.
You should also be analytical, structured and thorough. Being service minded and flexible is natural for you. The work includes creating long-term relationships and co-operation with international colleagues within Husqvarna Group.

The position is located at our Huskvarna office and reports to the Director of S&OP for the Husqvarna Business Division
